Dhara
therapy is considered
to be the most effective
for chronic hypertension
patients. A patient
lying on his back is
treated with medicated
oil (boiled with hala
and milk). Also the
oil is dropped between
the eyebrows. This is
done once every day
preferably in the morning
for about half an hour.
With this the patient
is able to sleep in
better way and importantly,
the blood pressure gradually
comes down. Five drops
of this oil should be
given to the patient
internally with a cup
of milk every day. Stress
reduction techniques
like meditation, breathing
exercises and yoga are
each important aspects
of Ayurveda. Regular
running and exercise
also control the fat
levels in the body. |
